We work safely, with ingenuity and relentless attention to detail. Our high quality work quietly touches everyday life. Because of what we do, planes fly efficiently, people and machines are connected more reliably, cars are safer, defenses are stronger and medical treatment is enhanced. Global Advanced Metals CEO Statement on ESG

Global Advanced Metals (GAM) core values of Integrity, Respect, Innovation and Responsibility are the pillars of our commitment to sustainable business operations supporting quality of life for current and future generations.  GAM supports our customers’ sustainability objectives with high environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards.

GAM continues to develop its ESG program and embed ESG principles and practices in its management system. We believe our responsibility is to bolster supply chains’ ESG compliance in the industries we serve. Our governance promotes socially and environmentally responsible business practices by contributing to industry initiatives such as collaborative engagement with companies and industry associations on ESG topics. For example, GAM led the development, and continues to support, the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) audit program for Conflict Minerals.

GAM engages with stakeholders on international standards such as the RMI-RMAP ESG program, OECD Guidance, UN Global Compact, and UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

GAM’s ESG program builds upon our current sustainable business practices such as:

  • Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) excellence (for example, OSHA VPP status at our US facility)
  • Leadership in Conflict Minerals sourcing compliance
  • Industry lead in Tantalum ore extraction as a co-product of Lithium mining
  • Tantalum  recycle program

GAM encourages transparent business practices through open access to an ethics hotline for our employees and other stakeholders to report any suspected violations of our Code of Conduct.  Our Conflict Minerals due diligence reports assure our customers of GAM’s conflict free product provenance and assist their regulatory compliance requirements.

ESG integration into business practices is at the core of our daily activities, and we continue to encourage supply chain adoption of ESG standards and practices.

 Yours sincerely,

 Andrew O’Donovan, CEO
